Naturescape, LLC was started in 1990 after its founder, Marcie Miner spent a few years working for large lawn care companies. She recognized that people were generally unhappy with the service they were getting from these landscape companies. It seemed the customers were constantly being “sold” on more applications by landscape company telemarketers after they signed up with their initial lawn service. Marcie’s interest in the technical aspects of lawn care enabled her to become one of only 2 people in their branches history to pass the Supervisory Ornamental Shrub and Lawn exam in the first try. She attained her class 2 license also on the first try and loved driving the big tankers. But with many unhappy customers she knew there had to be a better way.
So she brainstormed new ideas on how to care for lawns and came up with the name Naturescape and introduced their exclusive Worry Free Lawn Service, which has become quite popular.

 Not wanting to sit still her passion grew towards plants and flowers. She graduated from Green School in Boston, MA and then in 1994 was recognized as an Accredited Landscape Technician. Prior to all this, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Communications and Marketing from Eastern Connecticut State University. Her husband, Jeff, joined the landscape company in 1991 and specializes in walls, walks, steps and patios. He has a background in heavy equipment so it was natural for him to enjoy this end of the business. His experience comes in handy with the many drainage issues he comes across. He is extremely meticulous and doesn’t rest until the job is done perfectly.
